What We Do
H2HC convenings, both in person and virtual, have brought together hundreds of thought leaders representing healthcare and public health, academia, the private and nonprofit sectors, government and social services, and philanthropy. H2HC events are designed to highlight pressing issues and seek collaborative, long-term approaches to advancing health equity.
Through prizes, grants, and convenings, H2HC works to highlight and uplift innovative models that are advancing food, nutrition, and health equity.
- H2HC has committed to awarding $1M over five years in Prizes for Innovation. The Prizes identify and highlight innovative food and nutrition work that offers promising, upstream models that significantly advance health equity. This work has been recognized by The White House in support of its National Strategy on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health.
- H2HC is building a database of work designed to advance community health and well-being throughout the U.S. The Directory of Innovation will serve as a resource for information and sharing.
- H2HC granted more than $1 million from 2018-2021 to support innovative community-based models in MA, CT, and RI, as well as ground-breaking food and health research.
Through convenings and outreach, H2HC promotes awareness and understanding of food and nutrition challenges as priority public health issues. H2HC informs a wide array of national stakeholders through events, digital media, and participation in collaborations and learning communities.
