Food Security Strategic Plan Implementation Planning Toolkit

The New Jersey Food Security Strategic Plan Implementation Planning Toolkit is a practical, step-by-step resource developed by the New Jersey Office of the Food Security Advocate to help organizations, coalitions, and communities translate the state’s 2026 Food Security Strategic Plan into actionable programs and coordinated local initiatives. Designed for cross-sector use, the toolkit walks users through key stages of implementation planning — including assessing community needs, selecting strategies, building logic models, planning evaluations, and creating actionable work plans — while providing customizable templates and planning tools to support real-world application. Grounded in the Strategic Plan’s six dimensions of food security, the toolkit is intended to foster collaborative, data-informed, and equity-centered approaches that strengthen food access, sustainability, and long-term resilience across New Jersey (and beyond).
