National WIC Association

National WIC Association (NWA) leverages and amplifies existing federal dollars to increase access to healthy food and WIC program effectiveness in communities nationwide. Only about half of eligible low-income families take advantage of the healthy food and nutrition education available through WIC. NWA works to change that through community outreach, reducing barriers to participation, and ensuring WIC providers/agencies don’t have to “reinvent the wheel.” Through materials, technical assistance, training, and peer learning, it strengthens WIC in over 12,000 communities across the country.
