Healthy Foods for Healthy Kids (HFHK) inspires healthier lives by providing youth with joyful school gardening experiences and opportunities to eat the garden-fresh vegetables they’ve grown. Rooted in its founding principle that every child should know how to grow their own food, HFHK’s vision is to support a garden in every school across Delaware. Through its Education Cultivation Program integrated into the school day and year, over 25,000 students (~75% Title I) currently engage in HFHK’s hands-on, NGSS-aligned science curriculum and “seed-to-cafeteria table” model that foster healthy habits and STEM skills while increasing fresh food access.
