Food as Medicine 3.0
This cumulative evaluation report from Feeding America examines the impact of the Food as Medicine 3.0 (FAM3) initiative, a three-year partnership with the Elevance Health Foundation that integrated nutrition support into healthcare through 21 food bank–healthcare partnerships nationwide. Reaching more than 161,000 households, the report finds that FIM interventions improved food and nutrition security, increased fruit and vegetable consumption, supported better self-reported health outcomes, and reduced healthcare utilization, while offering evidence and implementation lessons to help scale effective food and health partnerships.
