Vouchers 4 Veggies is on the road to integrating into healthcare. Many people are not able to eat healthy fruits and vegetables because those foods simply aren’t available or affordable where they live. Vouchers 4 Veggies is changing that. It distributes vouchers by working through local health clinics and community-based organizations that participants already know and trust, who also teach them about nutrition. Participants then use vouchers to make their own purchasing decisions at partner stores in their own neighborhoods. With more customers buying fresh produce, local vendors increase the variety and quality of fruits and vegetables they offer. Everyone in the neighborhood wins.
