Food Strong

Food Strong is a Cleveland Ohio based nonprofit addressing food insecurity by building enduring local food systems from the ground up. They build school gardens in Cleveland schools, teach the students to cook healthy meals using the food they grew, and foster a positive transformation in students’ relationship with healthy food and land stewardship. Food Strong also holds Care-A-Van events around the city which provide linkage to free services and health screenings to the communities we work in. They have assisted in launching famers markets around the city and suburbs and have held numerous volunteer cleanup events both at their space and with their partners, helping to beautify their city.
